Who am I?

Hi, I am Martin Kikkas. I believe that combining human centric design, technology and solving real problems is what the world needs. I am change driven, I like to disrupt existing businesses and services to question how much better we could do. I gained my interest into technology in really early age and haven’t let it go since.  One and half a year ago I started studying on Digital Media Creative program in one of the best media schools in the world – Hyper Island.  I have met inspiring people and learned a lot more about myself during this journey. Currently I am looking for an internship to have a new challenges and learnings. Why Digital Stig?

I have had an interest to cars since I was a little kid. Stig is the most famous character in the whole automotive industry and digital is something that I believe in – making things interactive and connected, building networks. I like this contrast between those two. Creating change is my thing and this is a good example to show that. Cars are just another way of transportation that serves the users need to get from point A to B. I think they should be should be smarter, connected and more efficient.

Ideation and creating concepts is where every good product starts. To get people to collaborate and ideate is always a big challenge. In Hyper I have learned how to use a perfect Toolbox  for this job. Every idea becomes much more clear when it is visualised. I use Sketch as main design software because I love its simplicity. I think it is a perfect for UI/UX design when it comes designing for multiple screen sizes.  From Adobe Creative suite I use mostly Photoshop and Premiere Pro. I can easily manage teams by using Trello or Jira if it comes to a hardcore development. And Slack, I just think it is brilliant!
